Biography

Class of 2026
Sebastian Benedetto the bands Pipe Major, Pipe Instructor, and President. He is a biology major with an ecology concentration from Cape Neddick, Maine. A competitive bagpipe soloist since age eleven, he also plays mandolin, fiddle, and tenor banjo. Sebastian joined the band to develop leadership and teaching skills while rebuilding interest in the musical tradition he loves. His favorite aspect of the band is competition, and his favorite tune is Lament for the Laird of Anapool. He definitely plans to continue piping and pursue graduate research in community and behavioral ecology.
