Evan Johnston

Biography

Class of 2026

Evan Johnston is a civil engineering major with a minor in Constitutional Studies. He has extensive drumming backgroud, picking it up in 2014, playing with garage bands since 2019, joining marching band in 2018-2022, and playing in Scottish bands since 2020. Inspired by his father’s musical background and motivated to honor his heritage, Evan joined the band to explore a new drumming tradition. His favorite moment is the Player Walk, and his favorite tune is Captain Carswell, with Flett from Flotta as a standout from the band sets. He plans to continue playing, including with his home band, the Cleveland 87th, which is heading to Worlds in summer 2026!
